Zee Punjabi becomes Punjab’s No 1 Entertainment Channel within 3 months of its launch

There is no denying the fact that content rules the world. Good content wins over the hearts as well as the charts; that too in the shortest possible time. Punjab just presented a LIVE example of the same when Zee Punjabi became the No. 1 Punjabi Entertainment Channel just within three months of its launch.

It has taken the first spot dethroning the oldest Punjab entertainment channels of the region. For the week ended March 27th, 2020, the weekly GRP of Zee Punjabi stands at 179.4 followed by PTC Network at No. 2 with 178.8 GRP and PITARA with 169.

So what makes Zee Punjabi a People’s favourite? Well, the question finds its answers in the quality programming content presented by the channel. Zee Punjabi offers some really creative and new-age content, planned and presented in sync with current Punjabi mindset and lifestyle. The channel’s 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm Monday to Friday has made the people glued on to their TV sets. The prime hour on Zee Punjabi presents ‘Heer Ranjha’ at 8:30 pm narrating the iconic love story of this land followed by a lighthearted comedy serial ‘Vilayati Bhabhi’ that hits on the Canada aspirations of Punjabis. Both the serials are getting an overwhelming response, in urban and rural areas alike.

The channel also has its own Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, a dedicated Punjabi music talent show. The icing on the cake is the recently launched talent show ‘Dance Punjab Dance’ which is the biggest dance platform for the state. The channel has already done its rounds of auditions for Dance Punjab Dance at Amritsar, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Ludhiana and Bathinda where a large number of talented young and middle-aged people came to show their potential.

Zee Punjabi stands out owing to its potpourri of content and presentation. The channel offers a rich portfolio of diverse genres of programs that appeal to different age groups and audiences. Zee Punjabi has a travel show as well and a light-hearted chat show featuring Punjabi celebrities. Its serials like ‘Khasma nu Khani’ and ‘Kamli Ishq Di’ portray Punjabi women protagonists as empowered and confident enough to face the world.

With the 21-Day national lockdown period increasing people’s tele-viewing time and indulgence; it looks like Zee Punjabi will consolidate its lead further in the coming weeks.
