Submissions Open Until 28th March for Filmmakers Seeking Funding and Partnerships
The Film Conclave, part of India Week organised by the Economic Policy Group (EPG), will launch its inaugural South Asian Film Co-Production Market on 26th May 2025 in London. This pioneering initiative connects Indian and diaspora filmmakers with investors and industry professionals to fund and collaborate on feature films celebrating Indian narratives.
With the South Asian diaspora driving demand for authentic stories and independent Indian films like Kantara (2022) earning over ₹4 billion on a ₹160 million budget, this market offers vital support to bring these narratives to global audiences.

“Filmmakers can submit feature narratives, documentaries, or work-in-progress projects via FilmFreeway (filmfreeway.com/filmconclave) by 28 March 2025,” advised Vijay Sud, a London-based independent filmmaker and media marketer, who previously worked at Zee Entertainment and a member of the Film Conclave’s organising team.
He further added, “Projects must be from Indian-origin filmmakers or feature Indian-origin talent in key roles to qualify for funding. Selected projects will gain access to one-on-one pitch sessions with investors and industry leaders, plus support to connect with producers, studios, and distributors.”
The event, held at Skyline, Tower Suites by Blue Orchid Hotels, will feature investor roundtables, masterclasses, and panels, ending with a 6 PM networking drinks reception. Following the success of the 2024 Film Conclave—featuring luminaries like Pranab Kapadia, Sudipto Sarkar, and Taha Shah Badussha—this 2025 edition amplifies its impact with the co-production market.
