· Silver Award for Websites in General: Website Categories – Corporate Social Responsibility
Mahindra
· Best in Show Award for Websites in General: Website Categories – Corporate Communications

In October 2015, Mahindra unveiled its new flagship digital property, mahindra.com. The new website aims to take the “Rise” positioning forward, using a story-telling technique to highlight its innovations that are making a difference to people and powering the global growth of the group. VML has been the partner in bringing this vision alive for Mahindra. Adopting a storytelling approach to a corporate website, VML has designed the site centered on the products of Mahindra as core protagonists. Instead of being an encyclopedic resource, the website is created to enable easy exploration of all that is Mahindra through both design and content, for consumers and B2B audiences alike. An extension of this was Rise for Good, a story telling website that showcases Mahindra’s efforts in the social responsibility space.

INSEAD:

· Silver Award for Websites in Website Features: Structure and Navigation
· Silver Award for Websites in General: Website Categories – School/University

As one of the world’s leading and largest graduate business schools, INSEAD recognised the need for their ‘forth (digital) campus’ to become a true reflection of the INSEAD experience, and drive top-of-mind awareness amongst prospective students, alumni, corporate partners, and employers.
This led INSEAD to rethink their entire digital engagement strategy, starting with their website. Launched on 4 April, 2016, Insead.edu showcases the most relevant aspects of the INSEAD experience to the diverse audience groups. Tailored to the needs of each audience group, the website provides visitors with an interactive, responsive and personalised experience, bringing to life what being ‘The Business School For The World’ truly means to INSEAD.

In October 2016, Insead.edu has been recognized as one of the finalists in the Higher Education category at the Acquia Engage Awards 2016. These awards recognise the amazing sites and digital experiences built on Drupal/Acquia. Only the submissions that demonstrated an advanced level of visual design, functionality and overall experience have advanced to the finalist round.

GIC:

· Silver Award for Websites in General: Website Categories – Government

VML has been working with GIC to raise the interest of the economic history of Singapore amongst its employees and Singaporeans. Being proven that in order to keep their attention, readers need to be active learners, VML created an interactive e-book, allowing users to highlight, comment and share parts of the book, giving them the ability to take an active role in their reading experience. In order to drive greater public awareness, the agency created a microsite in addition to the app. This microsite gives an overview of the manuscript and allows the reader to easily find resources using filters such as year, person, chapter and type.

Both the app and the microsite have proven their success with more than 1,000 downloads in the first week. The app has also been ranked 1 in the education category for Singapore on the App Store. These results demonstrate VML’s capabilities in turning a very data-oriented brief into a digital experience that would raise interest among both GIC internal staff and Singaporean themselves.

Circle of Care

· Silver Award for Websites in General: Website Categories – Activism
Raising awareness for a Programme that provides holistic support for Lower Income Families in Singapore, Circle Of Care (COC) seeks to gather the proverbial village around the child, pulling together assets from the community that may not available in a preschool. COC engages other social service organisations, as well as volunteers such as artists, librarians and students. VML has partnered with the Lien Foundation and Care Corner to create a brand and a website for this initiative that is now used across preschools where this programme has been initiated. The website acts as a home for stories about children that have benefitted from the programme.

A Different Class:

· Gold Award for Websites in General: Website Categories – Activism

A Different Class, is a digital exploration into unconventional teaching spaces. This showcase of ten new preschool concepts seeks to look at spaces in Singapore in a different way, through a discovery of underused and overlooked plots around Singapore that can be turned into the magical spaces of a child’s first school. The platform displays each concept in an immersive manner while seeking user engagement in suggesting locations and new thoughts for Preschool spaces. The launch of “A Different Class” received local press coverage and ignited several conversations about the Preschool Spaces in Singapore. As the conversation evolves, we will continue to be a springboard for local opinions and thoughts on the issue. Change begins with a single conversation.

A Different Class has also been appointed as a Nominee at the 2016 Webby Awards in the category Website – Activism.
