Elephant Launches New Brand Identity for Terra

Underscores ease of cross-border money transfers

Elephant helps create brand identities of more than half a dozen ‘early-stage’ businesses in 2015

Elephant has recently debuted the brand identity for Terra, a Mahindra Comviva initiative,  that provides an exciting new platform for cross-border money transfers.

Money transfer is usually a great pain point among immigrants, but using Terra one can look at substantial savings as compared to current options. Elephant has worked on creating a happy and vibrant brand that could ‘Transfer Happiness’ from one part of the world to another.

In the last few months, indie design house Elephant Delhi has whipped up a reputation of working with a slew of early-stage businesses giving their ideas a concrete shape. Shouvik Roy and his team at Elephant have helped a number of start-ups to develop strong identities around their business ideas.

Following their corporate branding framework, which allows for customization and tweaking basis the industry and the lifecycle of business, Elephant Delhi is creating ripples. Shouvik Roy elaborates, “In 2015, we started engaging with, and making our Corporate ID framework affordable for, start-ups where we saw immense potential. Our team is excited to work much beyond the boundaries set by big established brands. And to do justice to the scope of work, we have to immerse ourselves with the sector, understand the context, and the opportunity.”

Mr. Ambar Sur, CEO of Terra – a switch service mobilizing international remittances, says, “The team at Elephant Delhi helped shape the identity for Terra. Their understanding of the business and the keenness with which they worked together with us in shaping the name, identity, website and brand communication is truly remarkable.”

Mr. Neil Prasad, the founder and CEO of Petra– an integrated facilitiy management provider, says, “We engaged with Elephant Delhi to deliver our ideas, values, and vision through a newly created brand. They helped us in creating our brand logo and helped in shaping the brand identity. The team’s keenness and enthusiasm for our project helped iron out many of the initial start-up challenges.”

Since most of the early-stage businesses are also often unorganized – in terms of policies and processes – the engagement requires a hands-on approach. The timelines, processes and methodologies evolve and are calibrated to suit the needs of the client.

Vinay Bothra, founder and CEO of Vaxia – an online marketplace for industrial supplies, says, “It was great working with Elephant. Shouvik and his team truly understood our needs along with the start-up culture and worked at our pace to create and build a strong, identifiable brand.”

In the last few months, Elephant has helped more than half a dozen early-stage businesses from varied industries, defining their core ideology, translating it into brand and visual identity. Speaking about the kind of businesses the consultancy has worked with, Roy says, “There is no one specific industry that we engage with. Our work surpasses the filters of industry or sector. Currently, we are working with a mobile app based consumer community, a transformative development sector alliance, a medical solutions provider, an F&B service provider – all at the same time.“
