SVOD market shares in Q4 2021
There has not been much market fluctuation in Q4 2021 when compared to Q3, especially among the larger platforms. Disney+ Hotstar, and Prime Video maintained the same market share percentage while Netflix increased by 1%. The smaller SVOD platforms witnessed slightly more fluctuations, although without much significant changes. While Voot decreased by 2%, AltBalaji, SonyLIV and Zee5 all increased by 1%.
Market share development in 2021
Disney+ Hotstar witnessed massive growth of 6% from January 2021. Prime Video has remained stagnant and maintained its market share percentage, while Netflix, on the other hand, suffered decreases throughout the year, ending 3% lower than when it started.
