TV9 Bharatvarsh, the top Hindi News channel from India’s No. 1 news network hosted the first ever conclave ‘Satta Sammelan – Uttar Pradesh’ in Lucknow. The day long conclave saw top political heavy weights, religious leaders and opinion makers such as Yogi Adityanath, Akhilesh Yadav, Keshav Prasad Maurya, Asaduddin Owaisi in attendance. Among other aspects, speakers at the conclave discussed and deliberated on key issues facing the state as it soon goes to the polls.
As political parties gear up for an intense electoral contest in India’s largest state, TV9 Bharatvarsh, became the first ever media platform to organize a conclave on such a large scale. The event witnessed a number of influencers and thought leaders from the world of politics, religion, civil society, arts and culture in full attendance. As a part of this day-long session, leaders from both ruling and opposition parties dwelled on key poll issues. The conclave also saw multi-format sessions including a host of Panel discussions and exciting one-on-one conversations on topics as diverse as “Ayodhya”, “Brahmin Vote”, “Caste Calculus and OBC Votebank”.
Keynote speaker and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, “Uttar Pradesh is a state that has potential to achieve so much. Today the state is at the No. 2 position in terms of economy; If we continue at this rate, the state will be in a much better position in the next 6 years. We have prepared a roadmap and are working towards achieving an economy of 1 trillion dollars that is result oriented’’
Addressing the topic of employment, he added, “Earlier there used to be scarcity of jobs here, but in the last 4.5 years, we have employed lakhs of young people, making them self-reliant by connecting them with different schemes.”
Lastly, on the strategy to tackle the pandemic, the CM said, “In UP, 11 crore people have been vaccinated. The work of PM Modi during the pandemic was commendable. Today, our state only has 4 patients suffering from COVID-19.”
Former Chief Minister and President of Samajwadi Party, Akhilesh Yadav said, “We want to further build our canvas. We have not abandoned our traditional Muslim Yadav plank and instead we are now focusing on Mahila and Youth, the other MY factor. The new equation, therefore, becomes M2Y2.”
AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi attended TV9’s Satta Sammelan and started raising questions about various aspects currently existing in UP. Representing the Muslims, he said, “I want to change what has been happening with Muslims for the past 60 – 65 years. We want to play as equals in the field. Change will come when Muslims form the leadership.”
Talking about bringing change in the government, he appealed to all the opposition parties stating, “Things get worse after the elections. It would be better to talk about it earlier. If anyone has a problem with me, then talk to Om Prakash Rajbhar and tell him how to fight elections together. Om Prakash Rajbhar is with us and trying to bring people together. If you do not talk now, then there will be nothing left to talk about later.”
