NDTV World: A Global Platform Shaping the Future, Launched by PM Modi

The Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered the inaugural address at the NDTV World Summit. The Prime Minister heralded India century with a resounding roster of milestones being created by India and showcasing a roadmap towards 2047. The two-day summit marks a significant milestone in the global media landscape and aims to explore emerging trends and address global issues from an Indian perspective.

PM Modi today launched NDTV World – a new global news channel at the prestigious NDTV World Summit in New Delhi. Continuing NDTV’s legacy of pioneering, NDTV World will be broadcasted in over 60 countries and is set to become a go-to platform for international news, offering in-depth coverage of global events from an Indian viewpoint. With its vast network and cutting-edge technology, NDTV World seeks to redefine how global news is perceived, connecting the world to India’s evolving narrative.

Addressing a distinguished audience that included political leaders from across the globe, business moguls, thought leaders and international celebrities; PM Modi spoke at length on India’s forward-looking approach and its role as a global power. Listing the achievements of his government within the first 125 days of his third term, PM Modi highlighted several landmark projects, including the construction of 3 crore new homes for the poor, infrastructure investments worth Rs 9 lakh crore, the launch of 15 new Vande Bharat trains, the development of 8 new airports, a Rs 2 lakh crore youth package, and a Rs 5 lakh health insurance scheme for senior citizens above 70. He declared that “India has emerged as a fearless global power,” and underlined the country’s vision for a developed India by 2047, powered by “Jan Shakti” and “Rashtra Shakti.”

Reflecting on the challenges of the past few years, the Hon’ble PM said, “If we see the discussion in the last 4-5 years, one thing is common – tension about the future. During Covid, there was stress over the economy, unemployment, and health. After the war, there has been tension over the disruption of global supply chains and the loss of human lives.” As he acknowledged the global concerns, PM Modi assured everyone that India offers hope to a world set in uncertainties. “India is working on an unprecedented scale and speed in every field,” he said.

In the era of Artificial Intelligence, India is powered by another AI; that of Aspirational India – which accelerates the country’s growth, PM Modi said. He pointed that under the Artificial Intelligence mission started this year, India will increase the use of the technology in every sector. “This is the era of AI and the future of the world is linked with it. India is powered by two AIs. For the world, it is Artificial Intelligence, but in India, it’s Aspirational India plus Artificial Intelligence. When the two meet, it accelerates India’s growth,” he said.

The Prime Minister added that there is no scope for rest; as his government works to make India’s dreams come true. He further added, “India is the ray of hope amid global crisis, we are giving hope to the world engulfed in various concerns, it is working on an unprecedented scale and speed in every field,” he said.
