ZEE5 Global announces a slate of new releases and festival Specials in its May content line-up

From Eid specials to brand-new Originals across languages, check out all that’s new this month

ZEE5 Global, the largest OTT platform for South Asian content, has announced a rich slate of titles across multiple languages for its viewers across countries for May. The platform has also curated a special festival line-up for its audiences.

For Bengali viewers, ZEE5 Global will release a heart-warming family drama film called Switzerland starring Abir Chatterjee and Rukmini Maitra on 1st May. The film narrates a beautiful story of a middle class family and how they navigate through life trying to save up for an international vacation.

For ZEE Tamil viewers, ZEE5 Global will release a bouquet of entertainers.

● Mirugaa starring Srikanth and Laxmi Raai will be available from 1st May.

● Kavalthurai Ungal Nanban, a crime thriller starring Mime Gopi, Raveena Ravi and Suresh Ravi will release on 7th May.

● Nenjam Marappathillai, a gripping horror film starring S. J. Suryah, Regina Cassandra, and Nandita Sweth is slated to release on 14th May

● The entertaining Malaysia to Amnesia will be released on 27th May.

● Kamali, a movie starring Anandhi and Rohit Seraph releases on 21st May.

● Viewers can also watch the winning entries of Zee Reel, a Tamil short film competition, from 10th May.

Telugu viewers can enjoy

● Battala Ramaswamy, a film starring Bhadram, Siri Chandana, Lavanya Reddy, releasing on 14th May. The film is about a true gentleman who has only two ambitions: one is to have a single wife just like Lord Rama and the second to set up a saree business.

● Another gripping story, Room No. 54, will be available to watch from 21st May.

● The Telugu fiction show Oohalu Gusagusalade will launch on the streaming platform on 10th May.

On Eid-Ul-Fitr, ZEE5 Global will be screening it’s line-up of super-hit Bangladeshi releases such as Contract, WTFry and Jodi Kintu Tobuo and six star studded Natoks which include Rahman Aryan’s Tomar Tane, Mehedi Hassan’s 2521, Mohon Ahmed’s Biye Shadi and romantic titles such as Sakhawat Manik’s Chena Mukh Ochena Thikana, Mehedi Hassan’s High Volume and Sohel Hasan’s No Prem No Biye.

From 5th May, ZEE5 will showcase some of their most successful Originals which include

● Suspense-thriller Nail Polish starring Arjun Rampal

● Jeet Ki Zidd, the story of the brave heart army officer played by Amit Sadh

● Ravi Dubey and Nia Sharma starrer Jammai 2.0

● Manoj Bajpayee‘s Silence… Can You Hear It?

● Viewers can also watch Pankaj Tripathi in the critically acclaimed Kaagaz.

On 7th May, on the occasion of Rabindra Jayanti, ZEE5 Global will pay tribute to the Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore with a line of special releases like ZEE5 Original Darbaan along with Chokher Bali, Charulata and others based on his popular stories.

On 8th May, the OTT platform will launch Fridge v/s Chef, a one-of-its-kind cookery show hosted by Gaurav Gera and judged by popular celebrity chef Vicky Ratnani. Each episode will have two new participants who share their professional journeys as chefs, while the refrigerator will keep challenging them with surprise ingredients.

On the occasion of Buddha Poornima, ZEE5 Global will launch the popular fiction and historical drama series Buddha starring Himanshu Soni. It will narrate the epic story of how a young warrior prince attained enlightenment.

On Eid, ZEE5 Global viewers will also be able to watch shows such as Gauhar-E-Nayab, a family drama, Teri Berukhi, a drama centred around the reunion of an estranged and formerly married couple, and other Pakistani entertainers like Mere Humdum Mere Dost, Manjali, and Jo Chale To Jaan Se Guzar Gaye.

On 27th May, ZEE5 viewers will be delighted by another set of shows such as Mi Raqsam, a tale of love and fate, Umm E Haniya, revolving around a woman cricketer Romi who fights all odds to make her dream come true, Meri Behen Maya, a family drama, Deedan, starring Sanam Saeed and Mohib Mirza, along with Aasmanon Pay Likha, Mere Khwabon Ka Dia, and Be Aib.
