Top 10 Week of Feb. 12: ‘One Day’ Rises to #1

‘Leave the World Behind’ Climbs to Fifth on Most Popular List

Fans felt the Valentine’s Day love this week on the English TV List. One Day, the limited series starring Ambika Mod and Leo Woodall and adapted from David Nicholls’ beloved romance novel, rose to #1 with 9.9M views and Season 6 of Love is Blind debuted at #2 with 6.3M views. Several returning series showed their staying power this week, including Griselda, the limited series starring and executive produced by Sofía Vergara, created by Eric Newman and directed by Andrés Baiz, at #3 (5.8M views); Harlan Coben’s crime thriller Fool Me Once at #5 (2.3M views); and the docuseries American Nightmare at #7 (2.2M views). Taylor Tomlinson’s new stand-up special Have it All entered the list at #6 with 2.3M views.

Elsewhere, Sam Esmail’s Leave the World Behind climbed to the fifth spot on the Most Popular Films List, clocking 140M views in its first 73 days on Netflix.

Love was also in the air over on the English Films List, with Players, the new romantic comedy starring Gina Rodriguez and Damon Wayans Jr., claiming the top spot with 16.3M views. Documentaries had another strong showing on the list. True crime documentary Lover, Stalker, Killer, claimed second place with 14.4M views, and the docu-drama Einstein and the Bomb, which uses Einstein’s words only, fusing dramatic sequences with archive footage of his life as it unfolds across both world wars, and the advent of the atomic age, debuted in fourth place with 8.5M views. DreamWorks Animation’s Orion and the Dark, the animated family film directed by Sean Charmatz and written by Charlie Kaufman, took sixth place in its third week on the list with 7M views.

Natural disaster thriller The Abyss (Sweden) swallowed up its competition, debuting atop the Non-English Films List with 6.9M views. Romantic thriller Ashes (Turkey) came in second place (6.4M views) ahead of new comedy Kill Me If You Dare (Poland) in third (5.8M views) and gritty thriller Bhakshak (India) in fourth (5.1M views). Two-time Oscar® nominee and 12-time Goya Award winner Society of the Snow (Spain), from director J.A. Bayona, spent its seventh week on the list, claiming sixth place with 3.1M views.

The crime thriller A Killer Paradox (Korea) rose to the top spot on the Non-English TV List with 5.5M views. New entrants included the thriller The House of Ninjas (Japan) at #2 (4.2M views), Season 3 of suspenseful thriller Good Morning, Veronica (Brazil) at #3 (3.5M views), Season 2 of teen drama AlRawabi School for Girls (Jordan) at #5 (1.9M views) and the adventure Luz: The Light of the Heart (Portugal) at #8 (1.4M views).
