Neo@Ogilvy announces new approach for growth in 2016

Neo@Ogilvy is delighted to share a preview of its initial plan and new approach for growth in 2016.   Neo has dynamic aspirations for the future and plans to scale up operations very rapidly in 2016 in order to grow its India operation. As a commencement of this aggressive ramp up plan,

Neo also announces two new appointments.

The Indian digital media agency market is a fast paced and emerging place with numerous players, some of whom (larger volume led players) are propagating the benefits of media efficiencies and better rates, while others are operating in a niche (performance or Social or mobile only). While those propositions are vital and relevant to brand custodians, more meaningful propositions have emerged in the global market, which are starting to find their way into the Indian scenario. Brand owners have recognised the importance of a technology and data driven approach. Brand actions when undertaken based on expert data analytics form a more sound and thorough method of achieving the brand goals and also produce media efficiency as a by-product, hence not neglecting the same.  This is the approach embraced and implemented by Neo@Ogilvy, India.

Neo is using a data and technology led approach to create substantial impact for its brands. Nesting at the Centre of Excellence (50 plus experts across big data, analytics, programmatic and centralised optimization processes) in the Gurgaon office, have been the biggest advantage and a key differentiator for Neo in establishing itself as a rounded strategic partner for its brands as data driven and tech led insight mining and strategy development is something that the brands are seeking actively now.

Rajesh Bhatia, President & Country Head, Neo@Ogilvy:  Working alongside with the OgilvyOne and Ogilvy advertising experts has been a huge advantage for Neo as the overall Ogilvy capabilities and service offerings across the value chain, including analytics, content and campaign development, provide huge opportunities. Hence, going forward, Neo@Ogilvy plans to create far more valuable service offerings that are a convergence of Analytics (Insights), Performance marketing and Content. The nature of our new talent acquisitions will also reflect the change in the way Neo@Ogilvy will move forward.

In keeping with the above, Neo@Ogilvy is happy to announce the appointment of Ankit Agarwal and Suraj Nagappa.

Having worked for boutique & network agencies across India and Canada, Ankit Agarwal brings several years of global experience particularly in the area of digital strategy and performance marketing.  With his experience spanning the entire breadth of performance media (SEM, SEO, Programmatic Display & Social, Analytics, Adserving), he has been instrumental in developing and scaling performance marketing programs for some leading global brands including American Express, Equifax, Philips, Volvo Canada and Paypal.

Ankit was responsible for launching Havas Media’s performance marketing team in Canada and led a team of over 10 digital specialists across digital strategy, SEM, programmatic, social and analytics. Prior to joining Havas Media Canada, Ankit worked for a boutique digital agency in Canada where he led the development of the agency’s programmatic trade desk and subsequently centralizing display media buys for all clients on the trade desk

Ankit Agarwal, VP & Head of Performance Marketing Neo@Ogilvy: The technology first focus in delivering performance marketing solutions and the opportunity to further the adoption of programmatic media in India is what drove me to join Neo@Ogilvy.

Suraj Nagappa’s experience spans over 16 years and he is a well-known name in the media industry; an expert in new media strategy and planning especially with mobile and tech based solutions, Suraj has worked with some of the best media setups like The Social Street, DDB Mudra, Denstu, Interactive Avenues and Mediaturf. He has led Media Strategy for brands like Citibank, SAP, Infosys, Accenture, Toyota, Hitachi, Honda, Amway and Ministry of Tourism-Government of India.

Suraj Nagappa, VP & Head of North Neo@Ogilvy: I am delighted to be a part of the Ogilvy family and excited with the prospects of Neo@Ogilvy.  Neo@Ogilvy  is now at a very exciting stage in its journey and I look forward to being part of this journey especially at this juncture.  If the digital window was a laptop earlier, it’s the mobile now…we need to understand the social media channels which are subject to change in a digital world, where nothing is constant.
