Namma Run – South Edition Debuts with Grand Success in Bengaluru with 3,500 Participants

The much-awaited Namma Run – South Edition made its debut in Bengaluru with resounding success, drawing an overwhelming participation of close to 3,500 runners, exceeding the expected registrations. Hosted on 28th September 2025 at St. Joseph’s School Ground, the event brought together people of all ages for a vibrant celebration of fitness, family, and community spirit. The marathon was flagged off from St. Joseph’s School Ground, followed a route through UB City and Vidhana Soudha, and concluded at the venue.

The run was virtually inaugurated by Dr. Shiva Rajkumar (Karunada Chakravarthy), while celebrated Kannada stars Rana, Zaid Khan, and Anusha Rai flagged off the event. Participants competed and celebrated across a wide range of categories, from kids’ runs and family walkathons to competitive timed races, welcoming everyone from children and parents to grandparents and runners. The kids’ run featured 1 km and 2 km distances, along with a 3 km timed run. For parents, grandparents, and adults, there were 3 km walkathons, as well as fun runs of 5 km and 10 km. The event also included competitive timed categories for 5 km and 10 km runners. The 10 km race attracted the highest number of participants.

Adding to the energy of the morning was a festival-like atmosphere, with Zumba warm-ups, yoga sessions, live music troupes, shopping stalls, and food stalls, creating a vibrant community carnival.

From the crowd, the sentiment was unanimous: “Not just a run for runners – it was for the whole family, including kids, parents, and grandparents,” said one participant. Another added, “It felt more like a fitness festival than a marathon.”

The event was presented by Casagrand, co-presented by Amity University, and powered by Fybros Smart Electrical Creations, along with the support of several other partners.

With Bengaluru setting the tone, Namma Run – South Edition will now travel to Hyderabad in November 2025, followed by editions in Chennai and Kochi, continuing its mission of combining fitness with festivity across South India.
