CNN-News18 has launched a new show, Raw Report, anchored by senior journalist Shawan Sen. The show will air on weekdays at 12pm and 10pm, beginning August 3, across television, connected TV (CTV) and YouTube.
Designed to combine live reporting with in-depth analysis, Raw Report aims to go beyond headlines by delivering exclusive stories, ground reportage and context around the day’s biggest developments. Every edition will seek to bring viewers a fresh, exclusive angle on the most significant story of the day, leveraging the network’s reach.
The 12 pm edition will focus on the day’s agenda-setting story. Rather than simply announcing breaking news, the programme will explain developments through on-ground reporting, detailed visuals and sharp, data-driven graphics, helping viewers understand the bigger picture as events unfold.
The 10 pm edition will offer a comprehensive wrap of the day’s biggest national and international stories. Built on deep reporting and insightful analysis, it will provide viewers with a 360-degree perspective on the events shaping the news cycle.
Raw Report will also feature a key newsmaker of the day, alongside an exclusive news break in every story it covers.
Shawan Sen has joined CNN-News18 as Executive Editor – Enterprise & Special Investigations, marking his second stint with the network. He previously served as Senior Correspondent at CNN-IBN from September 2012 to July 2016, covering crime, defence and intelligence agencies. Over the years, he has also worked with Republic TV, The Times of India, The Indian Express and Times Network.
