India Today Group Launches ‘Pollution Ka Solution’

A Five-Week Citizen-Led Search for Solutions to Delhi’s Air Pollution Crisis

The India Today Group has announced ‘Pollution Ka Solution’, a five-week initiative aimed at shifting the focus from repeatedly highlighting Delhi’s air pollution crisis to actively identifying and advancing practical, scalable and measurable solutions.

With air pollution continuing to be a persistent challenge for the capital-driven significantly by vehicular emissions – the initiative asks a simple but urgent question: What can be done to improve the air we breathe?

Focusing on clean mobility and vehicular emissions, the campaign will invite citizens to submit innovative ideas that can help reduce pollution. Citizens can send in their suggestions by visiting www.indiatoday.in/pollution-ka-solution. These ideas will be reviewed through a structured evaluation process involving experts, industry stakeholders and on-ground feasibility checks, ensuring that only workable, real-world solutions move forward. The jury for the initiative brings together a diverse panel of experts and prominent voices, including Prof. Manindra Agrawal, Director, IIT Kanpur; Kalli Purie, Vice Chairperson & Executive Editor-in-Chief, India Today Group; Naresh Priyadarshi, Delhi Pollution Control Committee; Dr. Neelam Mohan, Sr. Director & HOD, Pediatrics, Medanta – The Medicity; and Kapil Dev, 1983 Cricket World Cup-winning Captain.

Select proposals may also undergo on-ground testing, helping determine whether they can deliver results beyond theory.

The initiative will conclude with a Grand Finale, where shortlisted solutions will be presented before experts and key stakeholders. The winning idea will be adopted by the Chief Minister of Delhi, to explore its implementation at scale. Further, the winning idea will also get a cash prize of Rs. 50 Lacs.

Through ‘Pollution Ka Solution’, the India Today Group aims to move the conversation from awareness to action, and from discussion to execution. The initiative seeks to make the fight against air pollution more participatory, evidence-based and solution-oriented, offering Delhi not just another debate on its air quality, but a pathway toward improvement.
