The 72nd Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity has announced the cohort of global experts who will be this year’s Jury Presidents.
Patricia McDonald, Global Chief Strategy Officer, Dentsu Creative, will lead the Creative Strategy Lions Jury. The Creative Strategy Lions exist to “celebrate the idea behind the idea – how strategic planning can redefine a brand, reinvent its business, and influence consumers or wider culture”. Pats will be dissecting the work for exceptional commercial rigor and impact, alongside lateral and innovative approaches to solving problems and shaping culture.
Naoki Tanaka, Executive Creative Director, dentsu, and Global Chief Creative Officer, Dentsu Lab, will head up the Digital Craft Lions Jury. The Digital Craft Lions are designed to “celebrate technological artistry”. Naoki will be looking for flawless design and masterful execution that achieve outstanding user experiences across all digital environments.
Tasked with guiding their fellow jurors to set new global benchmarks based on these criteria, Pats and Naoki will galvanize their creative peers in scrutinizing, discussing and debating the work to elevate the very best expressions of their categories and inspire the industry in the face of unprecedented changes, challenges and emerging opportunities for years to come.
