Wooden Street Appoints Amit Phutane as Chief Business Officer

With over 25 years of leadership across D2C, retail, and corporate business roles at marquee brands, Amit joins Wooden Street to spearhead business revenue acceleration and streamlined omnichannel expansion.

Wooden Street, in its post-funding phase, is strategically building a strong leadership team to drive the next wave of growth and transformation.

The company, in its recent press release, announced the appointment of Amit Phutane as Chief Business Officer (CBO) at Wooden Street. In this role, Amit will lead the organization’s business growth strategy. His experience includes business transformation & enhancing revenue streams, through retail, e‑commerce, and market partnerships.

Amit brings more than two decades of successful leadership experience spanning D2C, retail, modern trade, and corporate growth roles. Most recently, he served as Chief Business Officer at Neeman’s and Business Head (D2C & Growth) at Duroflex and, where he oversaw end-to-end ownership of revenue, profitability, and customer-facing operations across different business channels. Prior to that, he held senior roles at Bombay Dyeing, Ola, Kansai Nerolac, Disney, Essar, contributing deep experience in go-to-market strategy, digital transformation, and cross-functional leadership.
