Deloitte India and South Asia Partners have reappointed Romal Shetty as Chief Executive Officer for a second four-year term, effective 1 April 2027. The appointment follows an intensive nomination process over the last few months followed by an affirmation vote and was announced to all employees yesterday.
Since assuming office in April 2023, Romal has led one of the strongest growth phases in Deloitte India’s history to become the sixth-largest member firm worldwide and the third-largest consulting practice globally, behind only the US and UK. Under his leadership, Deloitte India has also articulated an ambitious vision to become the country’s largest professional services firm by 2028, underpinned by continued investments in technology, consulting, innovation, and talent.
Romal’s second term will build on this momentum with a clear focus on shaping the ‘Business of Tomorrow’. As per sources at Deloitte India, the firm’s strategy will continue to centre on AI-powered transformation, platform-led innovation, managed services, industry-specific solutions and expanding to Tier-2 and 3 cities under ‘Project Bharat’.
Deloitte India will further strengthen its investments in talent and digital capabilities while accelerating its ambition to become India’s largest professional services firm by 2028 by continuing to transform its business model and capabilities. The next phase of growth will also reinforce India’s position as a global hub for innovation, talent, product development, and next-generation business solutions.
