YouTube announced the appointment of Gunjan Soni as the Country Managing Director for India.

I’m super excited about building on this foundation, fostering innovation, and further enhancing the platform’s role in helping creators unlock new storytelling opportunities and reach billions of audiences globally.
With over two decades of leadership experience spanning business, technology, marketing, and e-commerce, Soni is set to lead YouTube’s growth and innovation efforts in India.
Prior to YouTube, she was CEO of ZALORA group. ZALORA is Southeast Asia’s largest fashion e-commerce player with presence across 6 countries. Her previous experiences includes roles as EVP at Star India and CMO at Myntra, as well as a partner at McKinsey in the consumer and marketing practice.
Outside of work, Gunjan is a big fan of Science Fiction & Fantasy. Her favourites include Star Trek series with Captain Picard at the helm for the wonderful inspiration of leading in challenging & rapidly evolving situations while upholding the best of human values and nurturing the diversity of his team to drive exceptional results.
