Iconic Actors to be Honoured at Festival’s Opening Night Ceremony and Join In Conversation With Strand
The Red Sea International Film Festival (RSIFF) has revealed two internationally renowned actors being celebrated as Red Sea Honourees at the festival’s glittering opening ceremony for its fourth edition, running in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia from December 5th – 14th 2024.
Award-winning Indian Cinema icon Aamir Khan (Dangal) and Academy Award nominee Emily Blunt (Oppenheimer) will be spot-lit on the opening night, alongside previously announced honouree Mona Zaki (Flight 404, Abserb: The Squadron), in recognition of their illustrious careers and lasting impact on the film industry. Additionally, previously announced Red Sea Honouree, Viola Davis (The Woman King, Fences) will be honoured during the Awards Ceremony on December 12th.
Both Aamir Khan and Emily Blunt will also join the prestigious lineup of speakers for the Festival’s In Conversation With strand, which invites distinguished guests from all over the world to share insights and have meaningful discussions about their practice, passions and stories. Previously announced speakers include Eva Longoria (Only Murders In The Building), Andrew Garfield (The Social Network, tick, tick…BOOM!) and Ranbir Kapoor (Animal).

This remarkable occasion allows us to celebrate their extraordinary achievements, honour their enduring contributions to the art of filmmaking, and explore the depth of their illustrious careers during the highly anticipated In Conversation sessions later in the festival.”

Emily Blunt said: “I’m incredibly excited to be coming to the Red Sea Film Festival and grateful to be one of this year’s honourees. I love all that this festival is doing for innovative and emerging talent in the film industry. In particular, I’m enthused by how they are empowering women in cinema and amplifying their voices.”
