NDTV Establishes Clear Digital Leadership with Strong January Viewership

NDTV recorded a strong digital performance on YouTube in January 2026, reinforcing the network’s leadership and growing influence in India’s digital news space.

According to Playboard, NDTV 24×7 claimed the pole position in January, registering 129.21 million views and emerging as India’s leading English news channel on the platform. NDTV India recorded 1914.30 million views during the month, placing it ahead of several established players in the Hindi news genre, including Times Now Navbharat, India TV, TV9 Bharatvarsh, ABP News, and Republic Bharat.

Commenting on the milestone, Rahul Kanwal, CEO and Editor-in-Chief, NDTV, said: ‘The January YouTube numbers reflect the steady and consistent work of our digital teams across platforms. Digital, undeniably, has become a primary destination for news consumption, and our focus remains on delivering credible journalism and meaningful conversations that audiences can rely on digital platforms like YouTube.’

The January performance reflects NDTV’s continued emphasis on consistency across breaking news, explainers, long-form reporting, and live coverage – delivered through formats designed specifically for digital audiences. The network’s approach has focused on clarity and credibility, enabling its digital platforms to scale while remaining aligned with core editorial priorities.

With new digital conversations and formats planned in the months ahead, NDTV will continue to strengthen its presence across platforms and engage audiences through journalism that is relevant and true to its DNA, rooted in trust.

This is NDTV’s digital direction – consistent, and aligned with a new India’s news habits.
