Wins Two ‘Award of Excellence’ honours; marks three consecutive years of global recognition
INDIA TODAY magazine has once again been recognised on the global stage, winning two ‘Award of Excellence’ honours at the prestigious Society for News Design (SND) Global Awards 2026 in the categories of Infographics and Cover Design.
This achievement marks a hat-trick of consecutive wins for India Today, reinforcing its standing among the world’s leading publications for visual journalism and editorial design.
The Society for News Design (SND) is a globally respected organisation representing professionals in news media and visual communication across print, digital and mobile platforms. Its annual awards are regarded as among the most rigorous benchmarks of excellence in visual storytelling.
With this year’s wins, India Today’s three-year performance at the SND Global Awards stands at:

The awards recognize the work led by Group Creative Editor & Chief AI Officer Nilanjan Das and his team, whose design and visual storytelling have consistently met and exceeded global standards of excellence. The team’s winning entries include high-impact editorial work across covers and data-led storytelling, exemplified by projects such as the climate-focused infographic “The Era of Extreme Weather”, which combines layered data, illustration and narrative clarity to decode complex global phenomena.
