India Gets Its First Aspirational and Luxury Lifestyle Sports Hub
Leading Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda has launched his dream project, the Gurgaon Polo and Equestrian Club located in his home state of Haryana. The ‘Highway’ star’s Polo Team, Royal Roosters has joined hands with Golden Greens Golf Course to create India’s premiere luxury and lifestyle sports and adventure destination in Gurgaon. Spread over 300 Acres, the club is touted to be the largest Polo and Equestrian facility in the country and the first Private Equestrian and Polo Club in North India.
Speaking about the launch of the Gurgaon Polo and Equestrian Club, the highly acclaimed star, who is also a National Level Equestrian Rider, said, “It has been my dream to launch my own riding club and I am really excited that this dream is now a reality, also because it is in my home state of Haryana. It is not the expense but the access to horses that has prevented people from enjoying its benefits. Riding for me is very therapeutic as it gives me a space to unwind. After many years of being a horse-lover and competing with the best, I have finally managed to create an opportunity to give back to the sport directly. So with this initiative, I want to share this wonderful world and introduce more and more people to the horses and the art of riding.”
Located In the foothills of the Aravalli Hills, the club will have daily riding lessons. Polo coaching and hack rides. Surrounded by hills, the area is an idyllic setting for nature and trail walks. It The club will also offer facilities for stabling horses and offer weekend outdoor experiences for families and corporates alike.
Memberships are open today onwards and the club is offering attractive and accessible packages for early birds and corporates. Members can enjoy a host of activities in addition to riding with access to a golf driving range, 18 hole golf course and future plans that include other adventure sports like Para-motoring and trail trekking and camping.
The launch event saw avid riders and enthusiasts appreciating the lush green Polo Grounds that boast of International standards, and enjoying the après polo celebrations. This was followed by a gourmet brunch organized at the beautiful colonial style Club House which has a fully functional bar and offers a variety of Indian and international cuisine, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy after the various outdoor activities.
The Gurgaon Polo and Equestrian Club will be managed by Col. Tarun Sirohi, one of India’s most successful and highly recognised Polo professionals. Col. Sirohi has over 25 years of experience in the world of equestrian sports and apart from Captaining the Indian Polo team, was also Chief Executive of the Army Polo and Riding club (the largest in the world) and the Secretary of the Indian Polo Association
