2016 has been an outstanding year for Hindi films and the same reflects in the Viewer’s Choice Nominations list of Zee Cine Awards 2017. Reprising of the four popular categories ‘Best Film’, ‘Best Actor- Male’, ‘Best Actor- Female’ and ‘Song of the Year’ this year’s list holds a stiff competition amongst the nominees. Voting for Viewers Choice Awards ends at 11:59 PM on Tuesday, 7th March.

The Best Film category includes movies across the genre that not only has dominated the box office but also received critical acclaim. The nominees in this category are Dangal, Neerja, Sultan, Pink, Rustom and MS Dhoni – The Untold Story. The nomination for Best Actor (Male & Female) category applauds the effortless talent showcased this year. The nominees in this categories include Aamir Khan for his immaculate portrayal of Mahavir Singh Phogat in Dangal, Salman Khan for his inspiring performance in Sultan, Amitabh Bhachchan for his formidable best in Pink, Akshay Kumar for his intelligent portrayal in Airlift , Sushant Singh Rajput for his impeccable portrayal in MS Dhoni- The Untold Story and Ranbir Kapoor for his earnest act in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Among the female leads, the nominees include Sonam Kapoor for her stunning portrayal of Neerja Bhanot in Neerja, Alia Bhatt scoring two nominations for her breathtaking performances in Udta Punjab and Dear Zindagi, Anushka Sharma for her encouraging act in Sultan, Taapsee Pannu for her fearless performance in Pink and Fatima Sana Shaikh for her dedicated portrayal in Dangal. The Song Of The Year category comprises of chartbusters Kaala Chashma from Baar Baar Dekho, Baby Ko Base Pasand Hai from Sultan, Kar Gayi Chull from Kapoor & Sons, Breakup Song and Channa Mereya from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Dangal title song.
