Special programming around PM Modi’s US visit
The leaders of the world’s two biggest democracies, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Donald Trump will meet for the first time on June 26 during PM Modi’s two-day visit to the United States. All eyes will be on them as they will discuss key issues like H1B visa row, climate change and security of Indians in the US, with their discussions expected to set the agenda for further strengthening of the bilateral ties between the 2 countries.
CNN-News18 will do special programming on June 25-26 under the ‘Modi Meets Trump’ umbrella to bring all updates from the visit for its viewers. The programming will be spearheaded by Shereen Bhan and would entail coverage of PM Modi’s address to the Indian diaspora, his meeting with President Trump, coverage of any speeches/joint statement, interviews with key personalities along with stories in the newswheel. As a prelude, the channel will also do a special half-hour show on 24th June at 11:30AM which will take a look back on what PM Modi has achieved from his previous trips and set expectations from the upcoming visit.
