Bollywood music director Ram Sampath composes and sings new tune celebrating Indian wildlife
Witness the spectacular, explore the exotic and celebrate incredible Indian wildlife as Animal Planet launches a brand new edition of YEH MERA INDIA, the popular anthology featuring the best of India’s rich diversity of flora and fauna. Starting August 14, every night at 9 PM, the month-long anthology will travel across India’s most stunning national parks, nature reserves and bio-diverse regions to discover it’s rich and varied wildlife.
Animal Planet also plans to reach out to the youth and family towards the Indian wildlife through an anthem and music video, the anthem is composed by noted Bollywood music director Ram Sampath. Sung by Ram Sampath himself as well as Sona Mohapatra, rappers Divine and EnKore, the multi-lingual track is a soulful melody featuring behind the scenes footage from the making of the anthem.
The song “Befikar hai nazaare…” inspires viewers to come along, connect with the wild kingdom and go on an exhilarating journey through India. The anthem aims to capture the essence of India’s bio-diversity through its music and lyrics. Reminding viewers of nature’s beauty and amazing wildlife, YEH MERA INDIA seeks the current generation to be the change agents for a better tomorrow.

As Indians, we should take pride in it and it is our duty to help preserve the natural world for our future. I hope this anthem serves as a call to everyone to go out and explore more of this magical country we call home.” said Ram Sampath.
Beginning its journey on August 14 at 9 PM, YEH MERA INDIA will also feature the premieres of three new series – RHINO TALES, LIVING WITH ELEPHANTS and FOUR DEADLIEST SNAKES OF INDIA.
