Zee Café to present ‘Top of the Lake’, a powerful and haunting story starting from 10th August, every Thursday at 10 PM.
This gripping mystery drama stars Elizabeth Moss, the Golden Globe winning actress who plays Robin Griffin, a Detective, investigating the mysterious disappearance of a 12-year-old pregnant girl. Created and co-directed by Jane Campion with a stellar cast comprising Peter Mullan, Holly Hunter and many more, the show will have the Indian viewers at the edge of their seats.
‘Top of the Lake’ begins with a mystery – Tui, a 12-year-old girl, walks chest deep into the freezing waters of a South Island lake in New Zealand. She is five months pregnant and won’t say who the father is. Then she disappears. Robin Griffin is a gutsy but inexperienced detective, who is called in to investigate. But as Robin becomes more and more obsessed with the search for Tui, she slowly begins to realize that finding Tui is tantamount to finding herself – a self she has kept well hidden.
