Sharon Bordas has been named Vice President, Scripted Development, of Lifetime, it was announced by Liz Gateley, Lifetime’s Executive Vice President, Head of Programming.
Bordas, who will report to Gateley and be based in Los Angeles, will be responsible for developing and overseeing production of scripted series for Lifetime. Bordas joins Lifetime from MarVista Entertainment, where since 2010 she was Executive Vice President, Production and Development. While there, she oversaw all creative and production and served as executive producer on over sixty key projects, including Lifetime’s hit original movie A Deadly Adoption, starring Will Ferrell and Kristin Wiig; Satanic, featuring Sarah Hyland, which is being distributed by Magnolia; and Most Likely To Die, which will be released theatrically in May.
Regarding Bordas’ appointment, Gateley said, “Sharon is a passionate and prolific television producer who has great taste and is able to attract top talent to everything she touches. She’s a go-getter with a proven success record, producing and shaping ambitious projects such as A Deadly Adoption and our recently greenlit pilot, Sea Change. I am thrilled she is joining our team and excited to see the projects she brings to Lifetime.”
Prior to joining MarVista, Bordas was a produced television writer. Earlier in her career, she worked at HBO Films and Sony Pictures Imageworks. Bordas earned a Bachelor of Arts from UC Irvine’s Interdisciplinary Fine Arts Honors Program and a Master of Professional Writing Television and Screenwriting from USC.
