Football isn’t just a game, it is an emotion. FIFA World Cup has been one of the most prestigious football championships/leagues, since its inception. The World Cup has been played 20 times and with each year the excitement among football fanatics keeps growing leaps and bounds. ATKT.in, a digital content platform for college-goers kicked off this FIFA month by bestowing an opportunity to curate FIFA themed content from students across the country. The platform has been instrumental in encouraging students, by giving them new opportunities to explore content on topical themes.
Under the guidance of ATKT.in, a number of college students created an eclectic range of content where Neha Upadhyay captured the true emotion of The World Cup in the form of a lovely doodle. ATKT’s in-house ‘Rakistarz’ aka KC and Suhel composed a Desi Version of FIFA Anthem as a tribute to their favourite footballers Ronaldo, Messi and Rooney to name a few. Another young talent, Akshay Poojary hailing from Mumbai, who was featured in a BBC documentary for his rapping skills made an original FIFA rap song. Delhi’s Kartikeya Mishra, a budding singer and finger-style guitarist created a reverberating medley of the most loved FIFA Anthems.
Prashant Sardesai, Co-Founder aka Co-Skipper of ATKT.in, “In India, people love Football and Cricket. However, football has been my favourite sport since I was 10. I find myself very lucky because FIFA 2018 will be my 4th time watching my favourite football stars, live in action. Just like me, there are many young football fanatics and hence, we chose the FIFA theme. We built ATKT.in, a platform to build the confidence of talented students by encouraging them to showcase their skills. We’re absolutely delighted by the response that we’ve received, and we aim to give more opportunities in the coming months.”
