‘Unfiltered Naari’ Now Streaming on ShemarooMe: Amitabh Bachchan’s Gujarati Debut Finds a New Voice in Hindi

Unfiltered Naari, is the Hindi dubbed version of the Gujarati blockbuster Fakt Mahilao Maate, starring Yashi Soni and superstar Amitabh Bachchan

In a world where the age-old question — “What does a woman want?” — continues to spark debates, curiosity, and comedy, comes a film that offers a witty yet meaningful take on the complexities of womanhood. Unfiltered Naari, the Hindi dubbed version of the Gujarati blockbuster Fakt Mahilao Maate, is streaming on ShemarooMe from 10th July. After the massive success among Gujarati viewers, the film is set to entertain wider set of audiences.

Marking the Gujarati cinema debut of megastar, Amitabh Bachchan, the film blends humour and heart to explore the everyday dynamics between men and women, in a way that’s both relatable and entertaining. Originally celebrated by Gujarati audiences for its unique premise and impactful storytelling, Unfiltered Naari now gears up to resonate with viewers across India.

Set in a middle-class Indian household, the story follows a young man, Chintan, overwhelmed by the many women in his life — until an unexpected twist grants him the superpower to understand them like never before. What unfolds is a comedic yet thought-provoking journey that unpacks gender dynamics with both empathy and satire. Will this power help Chintan understand women better or complicate things more?

Speaking about the film, lead actor Yash Soni shared, “Gujarati cinema is going through a really exciting phase right now — we’re seeing a wave of fresh storytelling, rooted in our culture but universal in its themes. Fakt Mahilao Maate was one such film that not only entertained but also sparked conversations around what women go through in everyday life. It was a rare blend of humour, heart, and insight, and the response from the Gujarati audience was overwhelming.”

He added: “With the movie’s Hindi dubbed version, Unfiltered Naari, I truly believe we’re giving this story a new life and a much bigger stage. There are so many regional films that deserve to reach beyond language barriers, and this is one such film. I hope the Hindi-speaking audience connects with it just as deeply — not just because of the story or the message, but because it’s a reflection of our shared experiences. It’s a film made with sincerity and purpose, and I’m thrilled that more people will now get to be part of this journey.”

Directed by Jay Bodas and produced by Anand Pandit and Vaishal Shah, the film features a stellar ensemble including Yash Soni, Amitabh Bachchan, Deeksha Joshi, Tarjanee Bhadla, Bhavini Jani, Kalpana Gagdekar, Chetan Daiya, Vaishakh Rathod, Deep Vaidya, and Om Bhatt.

In an era where gender conversations are louder and more nuanced than ever before, Unfiltered Naari arrives not as a guidebook, but as a cleverly crafted lens — one that invites us to laugh, reflect, and perhaps walk away with a little more understanding.

The Hindi dubbed version release of the film reflects ShemarooMe’s continued focus on elevating powerful regional stories to a national platform, making culturally rooted content more accessible to wider audiences bridging language gaps.

With Unfiltered Naari discover the joy, chaos, and essence of womanhood, through the eyes of cinema on ShemarooMe from 10th July.
