Zee Cinema, the world’s biggest theatre for Hindi movies, is all set for the World Television Premiere of ‘Ghayal Once Again’ on Sunday, 26th June at 8:30 PM. Sequel to the super-hit 1990’s Ghayal, the film is directed by none other than Sunny Deol and produced by Dharmendra.
This action drama portrays the misuse of power and its repercussions by the wealthy and focusses on the challenges that today’s youth faces while fighting corruption. Along with Sunny Deol in the lead, the film also features Om Puri, Soha Ali Khan and Tisca Chopra. Shivam Patil, Rishabh Arora, Diana Khan and Aanchal Munjal play the role of four youngsters who find themselves trapped in the midst of a situation full of crime, corruption and chaos.
Speaking on the occasion of the World Television Premiere of ‘Ghayal Once Again’ on Zee Cinema, Sunny Deol said, “I have made this film just like I had made the first part. I reflected about the society in 1990, and am also reflecting on the society of 2016. The film is centered on the youth and it is something they can identify themselves with. We don’t find characters like Ajay Mehra in real life. We fantasise about having someone like him around us. When Ajay was young, his life was different whereas, now, things aren’t just black and white anymore. There are shades of grey. The youth today wants to do the right thing but lacks perspective. Ajay helps them fight corruption ingrained in every level of society. After the success of the film’s theatrical release, I hope audiences enjoy the movie on their television screens.”

The film opens with flashbacks of the 1990’s Ghayal. Angry young man Ajay Mehra (Sunny Deol) shoots and kills Balwant Rai, who had murdered Ajay’s brother, and surrenders himself to an uptight cop Joe DSouza. Upon his release, he begins a new career as a reporter for an independent newspaper. He doubles as a vigilante who assists the police with their hard-to-prosecute cases including the rich and famous. One such case is that of a murder committed by the son of a high profile business man. Four youngsters hold the proof to ensure justice is served but it is not that easy. Who will win this battle between the powerful and corrupt v/s the righteous youth?
