Winner of the “Most Exciting New Series” category at The Critics’ Choice Television Awards, Supergirl’s story revolves around a girl named Kara -Zor-El, now Kara Danvers (Supergirl) who was sent to Earth to protect her cousin, Kal-El (Clark Kent). Working as an assistant to media mogul, Cat Grant, Kara didn’t use her powers until an accident that endangered her adoptive sister, forced her to embrace the Hero she was meant to be.
