Zee Classic celebrates Amitabh Bachchan’s 74th birthday with ‘Har Din Bachchan’

The indisputable Superstar in India and a global icon – Amitabh Bachchan does not require an introduction. An institution in himself, the Megastar has an illustrious career spanning over five decades. To celebrate this living legend’s 74th birthday, Zee Classic brings to you ‘Har Din Bachchan’, a weeklong festival starting 8th October – 14th October, every day at 7 PM. It will feature some of the most iconic movies of Big B’s career. One of the longest success stories of the Indian film industry, Amitabh Bachchan has more than 200 versatile movies under his belt and Zee Classic brings you some of his finest masterpieces.

Starting 8th October, Zee Classic premieres action comedy ‘Mr. Natwarlal’, starring Amitabh Bachchan along with the gorgeous Rekha.. Amitabh Bachchan sang his first playback song ‘Mere Paas Aao’ for this movie. ‘Ram Balram’ a revenge drama premieres next on 9th October, starring Dharmendra, Amitabh and the timeless beauties Zeenat Aman and Rekha. On 10th October, the entertainment quotient goes higher with Ajooba. Based on an Arabian mythology, Ajooba is one of the first fantasy superhero films of Bollywood and the only Hindi film directed by Shashi Kapoor.

On the superstar’s birthday, 11th October, Zee Classic presents one of his most famous movies – Coolie. Boasting of iconic dialogues such as “Humaar taarif zara lambi hai, Baju pe 786 ka hai billa, 20 number ki bidi pita hu. kam karta hun Coolie ka aur naam hai Iqbal”, Coolie is an action drama film that topped the charts during the 1980s.

During the shooting of Coolie on 26th July 1982, Amitabh Bachchan was seriously injured during a fight sequence. But even this injury couldn’t keep the people’s icon away from them. He returned to the screen to shine even brighter. This day was christened as his re-birth. Even today, when this fight scene is aired a message appears marking it as a scene in which he was severely injured.

Next in the festival is Aaj Ka Arjun on 12th October followed by Naseeb on 13th October. Naseeb was the last time Amitabh Bachchan and Shatrughan Sinha worked together. Last but not the least the festival will conclude with the fun and light-hearted movie Mard on 14th October, where we got the iconic dialogue ‘Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota’.
