Muthoottu Mini Financiers and Mathrubhumi News Felicitate Kerala’s Changemakers at Kudumbashree Awards 2025

In line with its commitment to community development and grassroots empowerment, Muthoottu Mini Financiers Ltd., in association with Mathrubhumi News, successfully hosted the grand felicitation ceremony of the Kudumbashree Awards 2025 at its Corporate Office in Kochi on August 4, 2025.

The event was inaugurated by Shri P. Rajeev, Hon’ble Minister for Industries, Law, and Coir, Government of Kerala, as the Chief Guest. The awards celebrated the inspiring efforts of Self-Help Groups (SHG) across Kerala who are leading change in the areas of Women Empowerment, Farming & Agriculture, and Environmental Sustainability.

Over 1200 nominations were received, of which 3 finalists and one special jury award were selected through a rigorous multi-stage evaluation. The final winners were decided through a combination of expert jury scoring and public voting. From the public voting round alone, Muthoottu Mini garnered over 5,000 votes, underscoring the widespread community support and recognition. The award ceremony recognized the dedication, innovation, and impact of these groups working silently at the grassroots level.

Roy M Mathew, Group Chairman, Shri Mathew Muthoottu, MD, Muthoottu Mini Financiers, Shri P.E. Mathai, CEO, Muthoottu Mini Financiers were also present at the event.
