Network of international journalists at Axel Springer launches on March 1, 2025, and strengthens all editorial teams
Axel Springer will strengthen its media brands globally with the Axel Springer Global Reporters Network beginning March 1, 2025, offering investigative research, current features, exclusive interviews, and opinion pieces. The network of reporters and authors, located in the USA and Europe, will enrich the offerings of BILD, WELT, POLITICO, BUSINESS INSIDER, MORNING BREW, ONET, the Polish NEWSWEEK and FORBES, and others. All editorial teams will have access to the work of the Axel Springer Global Reporters Network.
BILD’s deputy Editor-in-Chief Paul Ronzheimer and Robin Alexander, deputy Editor-in-Chief at WELT, will be part of the Axel Springer Global Reporters Network. Additionally, the network welcomes Ayaan Hirsi Ali, internationally bestselling author of books including “Infidel”, “Heretic” and “Nomad” and former politician, and New York Times-bestselling author James Kirchick, former writer-at-large for Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, and a widely published journalist.
The Axel Springer Global Reporters Network will be expanded in the coming months and supplemented with additional reporters and authors.
The Editors-in-Chief of BILD, WELT, POLITICO, BUSINESS INSIDER, and ONET will each head the Global Reporters in a rotating system starting with John Harris, Editor-in-Chief of POLITICO, after preliminary work by Ulf Poschardt, publisher of the PREMIUM-GRUPPE. The team will be operationally led by Klaus Geiger, formerly Senior Executive Editor at POLITICO Germany. Gordon Repinski, Executive Editor at POLITICO in Germany will take over the lead of the PREMIUM-GRUPPE’s competence center for politics.
