Dailyhunt, India’s #1 News and local language content application today announced a partnership with Sakal Media Group, the largest independently owned media business in Maharashtra.

With this partnership, Dailyhunt will now be able to offer hyperlocal Marathi and English news content on politics, entertainment, sports, health, agriculture and other topics.

Headquartered in Pune, Maharashtra, the Sakal Media Group owns and operates newspapers and magazines in Marathi as well as English that are circulated across Maharashtra and Goa.

Sakal is the flagship Marathi-language daily newspaper published from Pune while its online avatar, E-sakal garners about 3 million views per month. It also publishes Sakal Times, an English-language daily newspaper published from Pune; SaamTV, a leading Marathi news and current affairs channel; Dainik Gomantak, a leading Marathi daily newspaper published from Goa and Saptahik Sakal, a weekly Marathi magazine published from Goa. All these titles are among the most popular verticals of the Sakal Media Group, which will be integrated into the Dailyhunt platform.
