Ramping up its capacity for original series, Amazon also boasts a higher proportion of in-house productions, with 17% of all its upcoming series produced by Amazon Studios, compared with 12% of all upcoming Netflix series.
Moreover, Amazon Originals focus on high-ended scripted fare, with more Crime & Thriller titles than any other genre – Netflix’s upcoming catalogue is dominated by, mostly lower cost, comedy content.
