The series is back with a string of new episodes celebrating authentic dating experiences of Indian women
The show is produced by OML Entertainment’s content vertical – Global Creator Network (GCN)
The first episode sees Kusha Kapila and celebrity guest Pooja Bhatt pick and drop a Tinder member to her date and engaging in a warm, uninhibited conversation along the way
Tinder, the world’s most popular app for meeting new people is back with new episodes of Swipe Ride series which promises to keep the audience hooked, booked and in splits with popular social media personality Kusha Kapila taking the wheel and turning chauffeur for Tinder members meeting their date. Joining her in her fun ride and adding the much needed badass tadka is bold and bindaas Pooja Bhatt. Together the two of them create spellbinding, hilarious and laugh out loud moments, giving entertainment a fresh new twist.
Produced by OML Entertainment’s digital content vertical – Global Creator Network (GCN) – the truly one-of-its-kind show is a fun celebration of free, easy, and judgement-free conversations about dating and romance and what it has come to mean for young Indian women.
In the recent episode both Kusha and Pooja team up to surprise the tinder member in an entertaining banter. The trio talks just about everything under the sun and are seen flaunting their uninhibited and zesty side. They spoke about evolving modern relationships to meaningful connections, intimacy, love’s various shades and nuances and navigating dating in today’s day and age. What made it even more relatable were the personal anecdotes, perspectives and quips by Bhatt and Kusha. Pooja Bhatt steals the show with her verve, words and evolved wisdom. The entire episode is a roller coaster ride of laughter and in the coming episodes the audience will be floored with punches and puns that make the conversations savoury and sinful.
“Dating in India has certainly evolved over the years and it is refreshing to see this generation date on their own terms, unapologetically. Having platforms like this normalizes women discussing love, relationships and state their preferences openly. Swipe Ride provides that safe, non-judgemental space to have these discussions candidly. I loved sharing my own lived experiences with this new generation and understand better how their choices & rejection of cliched relationship stereotypes help them carve out their own dating rules!” said Pooja Bhatt.
Taru Kapoor – GM – Tinder & Match Group, India, mentioned, “Swipe Ride celebrates the diverse perspectives of young Indian women and their dating journeys in a relatable context. Our focus has always been to encourage inclusivity and autonomy and to create a safe, non-judgmental space where women are free to choose, discover, and interact with like-minded people and be their most authentic, comfortable self – this show is an extension of that IRL.”
Kusha Kapila – Host of the show added, “Young adults today are redefining the rules of dating and breaking free of traditional strongholds and taboos. The pandemic has not only accelerated a new normal in their dating intent but also normalised conversations around female desire, body positivity, consent, and boundaries while dating. I got a chance to witness female Tinder members be absolutely unapologetic about their dating choices and confidently take charge of who they are and what they want. I was more than happy to jump right back into the driver’s seat for the new episodes and once again play a role in facilitating these meaningful conversations.”
Devarshi Shah – Senior Vice President and Business Head of Global Creator Network at OML said, “When it comes to branded entertainment, we have always endeavoured to introduce unique concepts that can break through the clutter of the media landscape and strike a chord with the audience. Our efforts for Tinder’s Swipe Ride have been in the same direction. From conceptualisation to execution as well as producing the project, we intended to build not only relatable content but also an engaging community for the brand.”
With a focus on fostering synergy between brands and creators in the digital content space, GCN strives to bring out the best of them, empower them to engage with their fans and thereby build a thriving community – and the Swipe Ride series for Tinder is a testimony to this.
