Radio City & Mid-Day Crown India’s Favourite Web Stars At The Hitlist Web Awards 2019- 2020

Mohit Raina bags Best Actor (Male), Shweta Tripathi Sharma wins Best Actor (Female) & Best Series gong goes to The Family Man at the Hitlist Web Awards 2019-2020

Radio City & Mid-Day announce the winners of Hitlist Web Awards, a brand new recognition of the best work across OTT entertainment in 2019-2020. The Hitlist Web Awards, the first ever OTT awards by a media conglomerate, felicitated the best work from OTT players who are effectively providing India’s most engaging and entertaining content. The Hitlist Web awards, one of the most comprehensive and in-depth, witnessed a huge response from the audience and celebrities alike from the film and web entertainment world.

After receiving 1.76 lakh votes, the winners were shortlisted by a grand jury and through public voting. The jury was headed by Mid-day Entertainment Editor and award-winning journalist, author, and broadcaster Mayank Shekhar, along with Rahul Desai, Nikhil Taneja, Naomi Datta and the entertainment team at Mid-day. While Mohit Raina won Best Actor (Male) for his performance in Kaafir (Zee5), Shweta Tripathi Sharma won Best Actor (Female) for her role in Laakhon Mein Ek S2 (Amazon Prime). Neeraj Madhav and Priyamani won Best Supporting Actor Male and Female for The Family Man (Amazon Prime). The Family Man also walked away with Best Series and Best Writing nods while Raj-DK won the gong for Best Creators. 377 Ab Normal was adjudged the Best Web Film, while Madhu C Narayanan’s Kumbalangi Nights won the title of Best Non-Hindi Film on Web. Amazon Prime was the big winner of the night, bagging a total of 8 awards followed by Netflix.

The voting lines for the Hitlist Web Awards went live on February 14, 2020, and closed on March 8, 2020, with audiences voting across 14 categories – Best Actor (Male), Best Actor (Female), Best Supporting Actor (Male), Best Supporting Actor (Female), Best Series, Best Adaptation (Book/Series), Best Creator, Best Writing, Best Web Film, Best New Season, Best Comedy (Non-Fiction), Best Non-Hindi Film on Web, Best International Show, and Best International Season. The activity was promoted on-air and on all Radio City social media platforms.
