As cricket fever builds across the country ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, News18 India has launched ‘Stump Mic’, a cricket talk show that will air throughout the duration of the tournament, starting February 7.
Designed as a refreshing break from traditional, analysis-heavy formats, Stump Mic promises light, candid, and fan-first cricket conversations. Hosted by Anand Narsimhan, the show focuses on free-flowing discussions, sharp opinions, match analysis, and behind-the-scenes stories from the cricketing world.
The expert panel features prominent voices from Indian and international cricket, including Sanjay Manjrekar, former India top-order batter and seasoned commentator; S Sreesanth, former India fast bowler; Umesh Yadav, Indian pacer; Monty Panesar, former England spinner; and Yuvraj Dua, social media influencer. Adding strong on-ground flavour, Vimal Kumar (popularly known as Vimalwa), along with the channel’s correspondents, joins the show from the ground, bringing live updates, match-day atmosphere, and fan reactions straight into the studio.
The programme airs in two editions aligned closely with live match action. A pre-match show from 3:50 PM to 4:50 PM sets the tone and context ahead of play, while a post-match edition from 11:00 PM to 12:00 AM capturesdetailed match analysis, reactions and standout performances from the day’s game.
True to its name, Stump Mic draws inspiration from the spontaneous chatter often picked up during live matches, blending expert insight with banter and fan-centric moments.
Tune in to Stump Mic at 4.50 PM & 11 PM on India matchdays only on News18 India.
