Essel Group & ZEE Chairman, Dr. Subhash Chandra’s autobiography ‘The Z Factor – My Journey as the Wrong Man at the Right Time’ was launched at the ZEE Jaipur Literature Festival 2016, the world’s largest free literary festival.
The launch was followed by a panel discussion which was moderated by eminent journalist, author and Rajya Sabha MP, M.J. Akbar with the other panelists being Vallabh Bhansali, co-founder and Chairman of Enam Financial Consultants Pvt. Ltd. and Krishan Chopra, publisher and chief editor for non-fiction at HarperCollins India.
During the panel discussion, Dr. Chandra spoke about his journey from his early days in Hisar to becoming a Media Mogul with the launch of India’s first satellite Hindi channel, Zee TV in 1992. He also threw light on the major milestones of his career, the challenges that he has faced during the course of his life and the influence of Vipassana. During the course of the discussion, Dr. Chandra also elaborated on his two wishes going forward – to develop ‘smart villages’ in India by improving facilities for the villagers, and to revamp and popularize the Asian medicine ‘Ayurveda’ at the global level.
‘The Z Factor – My Journey as the Wrong Man at the Right Time’ was unveiled on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi at his official residence, 7, RCR in New Delhi. The book is available for order on Flipkart and Amazon India.
