As the 18th edition of the Indian Premier League comes to a close, what’s left is more than just a season of thrilling cricket; it’s a memory of spectacular celebrations and cultural pride.

The grand finale on 3 June, though, was in a league of its own. Taking place before the biggest final between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings, the closing ceremony was a tribute and an ode to the spirit of India. The night paid homage to the real heroes of the nation – the Indian Armed Forces.

Taking centre stage in this tribute was Shankar Mahadevan, the voice of India – whose medley of national anthems has moved the audience for decades. His set, complete with fervour and energy, was brought alive by stunning visuals and deep storytelling.

Behind this impeccable execution were weeks of careful planning and an army of ground staff. From uncertain weather to compressed performer schedules to evolving security protocols, each city had a new challenge. And yet, TCMP – planned and delivered with consistency and precision.
